How we work

At Ecohouse we are continually on the look out for new materials, improved working and design methods and cost effective renewable technologies.

We work alongside a number of industry specialists and are closely involved with the Association of Environmentally Conscious Builders (AECB) and the Passivhaus Institute.

We can provide both detailed design and planning design for projects within Cornwall in-house. We also employ AECB Architects to handle planning designs and applications for projects outside Cornwall. This ensures that each Ecohouse is contextual to its surroundings and local vernacular.

Once planning designs are approved, our technical team will provide technical drawings specifying the structural detailing required to achieve the energy efficiency we demand of our homes. Our own construction team on site will then ensure these details are referred to and applied on site.

Ecohouse has been designing and building highly energy efficient homes for over 5 years. What’s more, our growing design and construction team has been carefully selected for their expertise and have many more years of sustainable building experience between them.
