Ecohouse raises an impressive £1,000 in aid of Cornish charities with Robin’s recent skydive
26th September 2011
Ecohouse director Robin van der Bij is delighted to have raised £1,000 for three Cornish charities last week.
Robin was taking part in a charity tandem skydive along with others from the Cornish business world, organised by Live Events South West.
To raise the money Robin jumped out of a plane at 10,000 feet, enjoyed a 30 second freefall, before landing safely at Cornwall Parachute Club, near Perranporth.
Conditions were perfect on the morning of the skydive, with clear blue skies and light winds.
Robin is also proud to have raised the most amongst his fellow jumpers that day.
"It is thanks to the incredible generosity of friends, family, colleagues and clients that I was able to raise such a large amount," he said. "Everyone has given very generously.
The skydive was a big challenge for me, and an amazing experience."
The £1,000 raised includes a £250 contribution from Ecohouse to cover the cost of the skydive itself. Donations go to the Cornwall Community Foundation, Cornwall Befriending Scheme and Carefree Fostering Independence Cornwall.
